You nailed it Val! What bugs me is it's just as much work to undo it after New Year's as it was to do it. My strategy is one box a day gets put away, and I took the 2 weeks after x-mas to slow down A LOT. But still have a pile of returns sitting on the counter. Even tho' we love the idea of an original gift, the kids probably have the right idea when they say they just want gift cards...

Thanks for voicing this so we can all knowingly nod our heads!

I have found that if one replaces "should" with "deserve to"... AND it makes sense, then it is probably a good move!

This is awesome and so true. If I asked myself "why" I did the things I did in 2011 or the years prior, I'd have to say the answer was because I thought I "should". Not for me, no, but for everyone else. 2012 is the year of "me" and I'm taking a page right out of this blog.

I'm so sorry Gretchen. I have a sense of the void you feel in your life with the loss of your dad. I lost mine 14 years ago and still miss him. For me, the pain has lessened, but occasions and holidays, even unexpected things, still remind me of him. Dads are special! My thoughts are with you.

Thanks so much for sharing She Takes on the World with your audience. Marissa is truly a phenomenal woman who courageously pursued entrepreneurship after her boss told her she'd never be worth more than $30,000 a year. She showed him! Thanks again for sharing :)
